課程概述

這門課的目的, 在介紹學生熟悉太平洋群島的人與文化。在島嶼有限的環境中, 自然的力量相對強大, 而文化愈顯活潑有彈性. 也成就了豐富多樣的屬於太平洋的文化。太平洋群島地理上與台灣接近; 而與台灣原住民族所使用的語言, 均同屬南島語族. 自是台灣學生學習容忍, 了解, 欣賞異文化一個極佳的起點。

課程目標

課程要求

本課程鼓勵同學積極參與。同學兩人一組，選定一有興趣的大洋洲國家，本學期深入了解此地並與同學分享。上課前十五分鐘由兩組同學介紹所選島嶼的一則當周新聞，再由老師針對當周主題講授。部份影片為課外，自行觀賞，但在課堂上討論。上課鼓勵同學討論，未促成有內容的相關討論，每周同學請準備2個問題並在前一天上傳至ceiba。學期分組作業將由同學與老師討論後選定一具操作性的題目。在作業中同學可以盡情發揮創意、整理在課上學習到的現象、分析概念與你個人的感受，從中找出你有興趣、並在當地有意義的現象來分析並提出行動方案。建議可以從本學期所選當周新聞做延伸，選定一大洋洲地區的時事進行分析，並討論該議題的相關影響，進一步思索可能提供的解決辦法或展望，甚至可以與臺灣的相關近況進行比較。部份影片將在課堂上放映，部分將在課外自行觀賞。此外，同學每交出一份六百字內的書面摘要，可得總分一分，以不超出十分為限。同學所報告的新聞文字稿請上傳https://www.facebook.com/worldaustronesian分享。

15% 「每周新聞」(視人數，原則上每組兩次，7.5% x 2)
40% 作業(口頭報告佔10%)
